Mr. Carlos Slim’s speech in the ceremony of the first anniversary of Soumaya Museum’s new site

Good evening:

We are glad in being accompanied by all of you in the first anniversary of the new seat of Soumaya Museum. We expect that attendance and interest by so many Mexicans and foreigners will continue during the next second year.

As many of you know, Soumaya Museum was inaugurated in 1993, so it is going to have 19 years, and we are glad in harboring it into a new site, a new-modern house for its art collection, an internationally appraised architecture, a great place being visited by many Mexicans during its first year.

We invite you to enter in Floor 2, the space assigned to temporary exhibitions, which has been refurbished and embellished by artworks being acquired during the last single year, Expo 2, as we have called it. We invite you to visit it. Thanks again your companion.

Good night to all of you.
