The Lebanese Center in Mexico honored Mr. Carlos Slim for his contribution to the development of Mexico, for his support to the Mexican community of Lebanese origin, and for his altruism.

The Lebanese Center Mexico honored businessman Carlos Slim, in recognition to his commitment to the development of this country, for all efforts he has carried out for the Mexican community of Lebanese descent, and for his altruistic work. The ceremony was attended by members of the Lebanese community, officials and members of the Center.
The President of the Board of Directors of the Lebanese Center, Daniel Karam, presented him with a bronze sculpture of a thousand-year-old Lebanese cedar tree, made by sculptor Oswaldo Rodríguez.
