Carlos Slim Health Awards 2009.
The Carlos Slim Health Awards Second Edition was performed in 2009. These prizes have been instituted to acknowledge both persons and institutions whose health work has effectively improved the Latin America and the Caribbean regions living conditions. Because of both awarded people and institutions excellence, jury trustworthy and reward amount (100,000 dollars for each category), these awards rank among the most important in the whole world.
In this second edition the jury did adjudicate them to the following persons and institutions:
- Carlos Slim Award for Research Career 2009:
Dr. Guillermo Ruiz Palacios, from México.
- Carlos Slim Award for Excellence Institution 2009:
Instituto Cisalva, from Colombia.
