21 great artists will participate in Amigos Unidos por la Música pop concert Tuesday November 9, 19:30 pm National Auditorium.

Aimed to aid the state of Veracruz, which is suffering adverse circumstances, several pop starts led by Veracruzan singer Yuri will unite their voices in Amigos unidos por la música pop concert, Tuesday November 9 at 19:30 pm in National Auditorium.
Besides Yuri and the also Veracruzan artists Paquita la del Barrio and Samo (Camila’s member), Manuel Mijares, Alexander Acha, Mane de la Parra, Pandora, María José, Paty Cantú, Edith Márquez, Sandoval and Guadalupe Pineda will also perform. Several styles of norteño music will be performed by K- Paz de la Sierra, La Apuesta, Germán Montero and Ulises Quintero. Pop music will be performed by Christian Chávez and Reik group. Afro-american rhytms will be executed by Margarita, La Diosa de la Cumbia, and CañaReal group.
In response to the solidary stance by both National Council for Culture and the Arts and National Auditorium, Carlos Slim Foundation has committed itself to double each box-office peso.
The total collected sum will be allotted to buy household equipment to be distributed to the needed in coordination with the government of Veracruz.
November 9 at night thousands of people will succor Veracruz through music and singing. The artists will perform for free.
Several artists are already collecting provisions for Veracruz’s damaged and will double their efforts in the concert. Yuri said that “Mexicans can not remain idle in the face of a misfortune for those who has lost everything”, and she thanks support by those who have generously echoed her call.
Besides their love for music, these singers and groups share a common love for Mexico. Most of them were born in Mexico or feel linked to it by their Mexican roots, like Ulises Quintero, from Los Angeles, California; K –Paz de la Sierra was formed in Chicago, Illinois, yet its roots are truly Mexican; Margarita La Diosa de la Cumbia, and Humerto Pabón senior (CañaReal) are Colombians by origin, but now they are Mexican citizens by law and personal will.

Amigos unidos por la música is a demonstration for both artists and the Mexican public solidary spirit. Far apart from ideology and preference, they make common cause for a human purpose.
